Alyssa is a brand new project from Gothenburg, Sweden and naturally they’ve decided to work with the local Discreet label. Their first album Medea! just came out April 14 and is a fascinating listen. Alyssa is a duo consisting of Irma Krook from Makthaverskan and Dan Johansson aka Sewer Election. Irma Krook released a solo EP a few years ago via Happiest Place and here those tendencies are combined with Johansson’s synthesiser layers . It only has 7 tracks but “How I Love These Mouths” sounds like prime time This Mortal Coil and the closing track is quite possibly named after Die Wand.
