Season 2 is a new group from Naarm started by members of another notable groups like The Stroppies, Phil and the Tiles and Parsnip. A few years ago bands like this used to crop every other week in Australia, but now it feels so much more rare and with Power of Now, Season 2 are showing us how it’s done. A simple DIY production by Alex McFarlane (Hobbies Galore) and mastering by Mikey Young (Total Control) and there you have it. Add some iconic cover art by one of the band members and you have one of the best post-punk records of the year so far. It’s out April 24, but you can hear a few of the the 11 tracks below.
