Record Turnover x Dissontiya comp

This is big news, it’s the first ever release that Record Turnover is involved with, and we’re doing it together with Dissontiya – one of our favourite labels in the world right now. I’ve learnt a lot from this process and would like to say a huge thanks to the Dissontiya crew for their expertise, to Terror Phoenix for mastering it and to the artists we invited for taking part.

We present a 12-track compilation and the 4th release on Dissontiya (following their massive collab with Model Sex), covering a wide range of sounds – from electro and broken beat to dark ambient and deconstructed trap. I invited Luxtral (Embalmer’s side project, with vocals from Tonguekissvelour), Acruelawakening, DJ Angst, Filmmaker, Blurryyvision (collab here with Xiety’s alias Nex), Erin Hopes and Sarla. Sarla is also playing the RT x Dissontiya event April 9 in Berlin, and in May Filmmaker will do a live show that we are helping promote, also at Sameheads.

The idea for the release came as we discussed how we could support the joint event and hopefully also gather some funds to support the artists performing. From the lineup, we also have Tunisian producer Shersh (Corrupt Territories) contributing a track, and it’s premiering on Synthetic Pleasures’ soundcloud today. (As you may remember he released a great EP for them last year and I was lucky enough to meet Shersh last year.)

thorp and Autocannibal who are also on the lineup for April 9 have contributed quality tracks both of them, and Autocannibal is also one half of Noir Protokol (with Dissontiya co-founder Costa) and a third of Subflowers. Both projects have tracks included, as does their friend Privacy, whom I have long admired.

The record is available digitally on bandcamp (below), soundcloud and Nina. I believe there are still a handful of cds left. It comes in a jewelcase with artwork by ?¿ who’s also made all the graphics for the event, including posters and online promos. Message us if you want a copy!
