DJ Valentimes and Truthspeaker are two artists and producers who have developed side by side over several years, sharing stages in the US, Germany and most recently in the UK where they did a small tour organised by Seln Recording under the banner Celebrating New Industrial. I caught up with them in Glasgow and was also lucky enough to meet Conrad and Gonz from the label. Cementing their musical kinship further, the split-EP Instinctual will be released by Seln April 15. 6 tracks on one cd that sees some of the first music from DJ Valentimes in years – apart from the recent 12” on Truthspeaker’s Tarnac label. The opening track, which you can hear below is a collaborative effort.
