Smush, the Vancouver shoegaze band we wrote about in 2024, has released a new EP called Standards. Following their stunning debut on Softseed Music, the trio have taken their sweet time in following up. But the new self-released 6-track record is worth the wait, as it delivers several new classics. From the MBV-styled opener ”41” to the softer ”Fireflies” that sounds like Winter at their best, this is a great record.
