Anne Clark worked a lot with David Harrow in the early 80s – producing one side of Changing Places together (the other half was with Vini Reilly of The Durutti Column). One of their most enduring tracks together is ”Our Darkness” which is considered a proto-house record.
It’s due to be reissued by Dark Entries, coming out in remastered form March 27. The Our Darkness 12” also includes several other mixes apart from the classic 12” version as well as a couple of tracks from the Changing Places LP. The remix was first released on Ink Records in 1984, with the original included on her third album Joined Up Writing from the same year and label. I played that one in the very first episode of Diminishing Returns and I still love it.
