Two of my favourite labels Dissontiya and Model Sex have created a joint compilation called Body Alterations II. It’s the follow up to the Tunisian label Model Sex’ first release from 2024. These 25 tracks sound like a complete whole that spans different experimental modes of expression. You can purchase it digitally from Dissontiya’s bandcamp or Nina since March 19, there’s also going to be a physical version at some point. Model Sex have released it on soundcloud.
All the tracks are great but a few worth mentioning are the Model Sex founder appearing as Deköm here, as well as Costa and Autocannibal from Dissontiya. Dissontiya affiliates like Christopher Bo (also from Ukraine) and Thorp from the UK are included too, and both of them will be performing at the event RT are hosting together with Dissontiya in April. Shersh (also from Tunis but now based in Berlin) will also perform live, and his track here is a 10-minute banger.
DJ Angst appears as Potential Death and other notable contributors are DJ Warzone, OA, Skoutchi, Nex and Privacy. All in all, this release is going to be hard to beat if you are into electro, breakbeat, noise and ambient industrial stuff.
