Pet is a new post-hardcore band from New York blending in elements of metal and shoegaze and they have just released their first EP, called simply Pet. They shared this minimalist video for the track ”Like Tar” in December and the record (available on cd from the band themselves) contains three more compositions that echo Loop, mid-era Neurosis and the unfortunately named Isis – but also more current projects like Alcest or Jesu. They’re doing a really short European tour at the end of the month that overlaps with Stefan’s dates as DJ Valentimes.
