The Berlin label Curiosity Pill released their fifth various artist compilation for International Women’s Day this year. It holds 9 tracks from non-male producers, leaning towards psychedelic trance and techno. There are several names here I did not know and that warrant a deepdive. Obviously, I love the tracks from Ira and Psy Priestess. San Francisco-based DJ and producer MILANA (pictured) has appeared in their mix series before and contributes a new original. She also runs an event series with Markie, called Hydraphex, and last month they did a collab with Synthetic Pleasures in San Francisco. Schierke turns out to be the new German-sounding name of Aeryeen from Madrid.
