DJ Speedsick from Chicago ought to be one of the most respected names in underground electronic music, but for some reason he has remained a well-kept secret known mostly to producers and fashion aficionados (through his commissioned work). As the founder of Snake Eyes & Sevens in 2018, he has brought a lot of greatness for our ears to hear. A few weeks ago he put out a new retrospective 4cd release via Spahn Dirge, and now it’s also available digitally. The First Five Years reaches all the way back to 2017 and it’s 43 tracks from all albums, EPs etc. – truly essential listening.
