Another artist that was added recently to the Rewire festival lineup of 2026, and one we want to spotlight, is Ugnė Uma from Lithuania. Last year we featured her 7” on Somewhere Press and later in the year Boomkat gave her the #1 spot in their list of 2025 discoveries. Not surprising, considering it’s a wonderful single.
At Rewire, Uma will be premiering a new set together with Pavel Milyakov who is better known as Buttechno. He’s also performing under that name, but as for this collaboration you can expect something more experimental and ambient. Especially considering Ugnė Uma’s practice revolves around experimental poetry as well as underground jazz and folk from her home country.
Last year, she also released a number of tracks through her bandcamp. One of them is ”Night Coat”, which you can hear below. Make sure you check out her recent show for Noods Radio below as well (would love to see the tracklist for that one).
