The meeting between Amsterdam artist upsammy and London-based Valentina Magaletti (pictured)) feels like a match made in heaven since both are known for exploring unusual rhythmic textures and sounds. While Upsammy works with electronic sounds and field recordings, Mageletti is a master of the drum kit. With Seismo they’ve created an 8-track opus for Pan that is as ambitious it flows effortlessly. Housed in a beautiful sleeve from friend Jonathan Castro, it’s out in full April 10, with one track streaming below.
