Ana Roxanne is a New York-based artist who has reached semi-legendary status after a couple of heartbreakingly beautiful records. The last one came out in 2020 and the following year she played Le Guess Who?, to packed concert hall. I remember running to the venue only come in as she played the final note. Luckily, I was able to catch her DJ-ing at Rewire last year (image above). She has now signed to the revered 90s label Kranky, who worked with Goodspeed You Black Emperor, Low and Grouper in the past and more recently with Christina Vantzou who’s music aligns more with Roxanne’s. The 9-track LP Poem 1 is out May 1.
