Miss Jay delivered another batch of her beloved edits in January. Club Tools 6 is not merely edits of well-known hits. The Romanian producer takes them to completely new places that make them feel almost like originals. Opening up with the Mortal Kombat theme, which has received several club mixes since after The Immortals’ in 1994 original, she already has my heart as it was my favourite game ever. The 7 tracks also include versions of Leisure’s ”Ox Flow”, Ninajirachi’s ”Soma” and Khya’s ”Maryjane” from 2023. There’s even take on Labouche’s first single ”Where Do You Go” from 1996 – overlaid with the even more iconic ”Children” by Robert Miles.
