So apparently Glasgow-based Heartcoregirl was featured last year in the NME100 – not that anyone has read the NME in the last 20 years but it still puzzles me that they didn’t include her several years ago. She’s been on our playlists three times and with each single I’ve been caught deeper in the web. Heartcoregirl, or Beth Henderson, finally opted to release a mixtape rather than an ‘album’ with 12 tracks, five of which are singles from 2023-2025. The new ones on the self-released Lullabies fit magically into a sound she has been sculpting since the very beginning. Released on Valentine’s Day along with a ‘soft’ DJ mix on sc.
