Hannah Archambault appeared on the new compilation from Somewhere Press that we just wrote about. At the same time she is also releasing an album of mostly vocal-based ambient music. Release the Horses came out February 6 and is only available on tape via Middlesbrough label Industrial Coast. The title refers to something Archambault’s singing teacher told her. ”Only Voices” is a great example of the power of the human voice to immediately create intricate expressions and emotions. The other 8 tracks also rely on field recordings, e.g. ovens, radiators and fridges. Turn out the lights and play this tape from start to finish.
