The second of two compilations we’d like to direct your attention towards this weekend. Apart from the new tape on Somewhere Press, this first ever release from the Copenhagen-based Drift Radio takes a similarly organic approach. They asked 25 artists to compose a track in close collaboration with nature, and the results are stunning. The digital release also comes with a zine that you can access here, in which the artists contributed text/image to represent their music and process. It’s a great introduction to Copenhagen-centred music, with contributions from Ydegirl and Xenia Xamanek (of X & Yde), Heva Vaupel, Vio Lino, Muskila, Timmiya, Francesca Burattelli, Franarchy, Ryong – even Debbie Sings. Franciska’s Afvikling Kassetter also contributes a track.
