Currently Berlin-based US producer Midnight Climax has put out his first release of the year – out on his own label Synthetic Pleasures. I met Midnight Climax last year in Berlin, so I might be a bit biased but I think Death of Desire is a great new EP. It’s different from previous releases in that incorporates atmospheres of ethereal trance over his usual industrial-inspired techno. The 6 tracks on the new cd are his dreamiest yet, while ”Quiet Ache” feels like it’s taking elements from both psy and house music. Out since January 26 and all but sold out at source.
