Another artist that has been around for as long as Belgrado is Group Rhoda from Oakland, California. Despite the name, Group Rhoda is a solo project and was started by Mara Barenbaum in 2009. After releasing a couple of minimal wave-inspired records on Night School and Not Not Fun, she started working with the local Californian label Dark Entries – a collaboration that continues to this day. To Phase 5, which is the follow-up to her LP from the dark year of 2020. The new album is out Dark Entries and Katabatik on February 13 and consists of 6 long and mutating tracks – one of which you can hear below.
