Gris Futuro is a Mexican duo, with one member originally coming from Lithuania. In November their first album Nowadaze came out via US label à La Carte, which has mainly been releasing tapes in the past. But this is a 9-track LP full of perfectly executed minimal wave and 80s synths, inspired by the likes of Chris & Cosey. They’re in good company on the label, who have also released LPs by Nuxx, Welcome Strawberry and Madeline Goldstein. The single “Hiperenfoque” (check the video below) is about adhd, and there’s even a track sung in Lithuanian.
