Container is one of the artists I’m looking forward to seeing at CTM Festival this month. The American artist behind the moniker, Ren Schofield, actually played in Berlin recently, with another project that he calls Plastic Bag. At this show he was supported by Eric Grieshaber who makes music as Vosp, and both of them also plays in the band Pool. You might know this group for several tapes on the excellent No Rent label. They actually put out a great cassette in November called Odlaw. The selftitled Plastic Bag debut from January 9 takes a bit of a similar approach – both in the naming of the tracks and the unhinged nature of the sounds. It’s far from Containers saturated sound, but highly entertaining.
