Carrie DeCunzo Mirande is a Philadelphia-based artist, just like Christian Mirande who has been releasing music for a decade. My Shadow, however, is the first vinyl album Carrie is putting out. Interestingly, it’s out on Swedish label Discreet who saw her perform in Gothenburg and were fascinated. She usually mixes performance and visuals into her practice and on these 11-tracks we’re dealt everything from spoken word and field recordings to electronic sounds. Just like everything Discreet put their hand to, you can’t say it’s anything but unique.
