I’ve been digging through a load of 2025 releases, mostly in digicore and hyperpop-related styles. Two young artists really stood out for me – as in, had I been a teenager these people would be my entire world. I’m talking about 8ngelonline and Lexycat. The latter is a 19-year-old producer named Millexica Fox from Australia who is not only extremely prolific (five albums so far), her music also has an astounding sonic depth. Check out her latest album Heartstrings, which is an emocore record that simply can’t be dismissed. That someone likens it to a Doom II mod on bandcamp says a lot about how nerdy this is.
