Popo, or stylised ₽0₽0, is the moniker of St. Petersburg-based DJ and producer Polina Orlikova. Way back in the summer she released this on Internet Ghetto, which is a sublabel to Russian Hyperboloid Records. The four tracks (plus one remix) on Gangsta Tools are a maximalist mix of trance and trap and other bits and pieces that had me really excited when it came out and then I forgot to write about it. That is, until Popo’s excellent contribution to the new Black Holes compilation appeared.
