Meltx from Ireland has definitely crossed over into the mainstream this year, especially after her single for Sara Landry’s Hekate earlier this year. Melanie O’Donnell has been on a world tour and then self-released her first album Candycore in October. It’s great to see this style becoming so popular, because Meltx is not afraid to be silly and make hard techno at the same time. In her interview for Metal mag, she says she hopes for dancefloors to be more ”cinematic, feminine and communal”. It think something that we can all agree on. Sadly the 8-track album is only available on evil streaming services, so I apologise in advance.
