I just had the pleasure of seeing Chicago-based producer Beau Wanzer play a DJ set at Ombra, where he also performed live with the duo De-bons-en-pierre. It’s been two years since that record came out, and several solo releases have followed. He also played live in Copenhagen earlier this year, around which time his collab with Rezzett (under the name Borez) came out on Trilogy Tapes. This year he revived his own label B.W. Records for two 12” that came out in July and November. They’re both untitled and hold 6-7 tracks recorded live to tape in 2008-2022.
