Way back in 2021 we featured the French industrial group Vox Populi in our 80s HITS series. Now we finally get yet another reissue of the group’s ground-breaking music. This time, it’s 80s reissue experts Dark Entries who have undertaken the work for a vinyl release of the 1986 tape Sucre De Pastèque. The original came out on a small cassette label called Unlikely Records that also worked with The Deep Freeze Mice.

For the reissue these 18 tracks have been remastered from what I assume is the master tape. I simply love that the 80s was full of these obscure releases that almost no one cared about, and now a group like Vox Populi is the stuff of legend. On a side note, their 1987 record Half Dead Ganja Music was also reissued on vinyl last year by
Platform 23 Records.
