Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Mayo (A Spiral Walk) put out a fine album last summer. But while that collection of tracks was not aimed at the dancefloor, her new 12” on Off the Grid Records is. The Berlin label – that has been going for a decade now – released the funky 4-track EP November 27 and it’s already wormed its way into my heart. Goth House is exactly what it says, it’s electrohouse with a dark tinge and Mayo’s understated vocals.
