Useless Eaters from Oakland put out a new 45 back in October – the group’s first work since 2016. Singer Seth Sutton had relocated to Berlin after that, playing in bands like Exit Group, Glaas and Idiota Civilizzato. After making more sample-based, electronic music as Blaq Hammer while other members focused on projects like Natural Privacy and Public Interest – Sutton returned to California and reformed Useless Eaters. They started touring again and announced that new material was on the way. ”Ego Shell” then came out via their old collaborators Goodbye Boozy, and a couple more singles have appeared since then – probably pointing towards an album release next year.
