Manchester legends at Natural Sciences have put out a new tape called City of Worms. It’s a compilation of tracks by artists covering a spectrum from noise and harsh electronics to drone and dark ambient. It reminds of some of the stuff coming out through Phage Tapes in the US, like Sin Pavilion, Threat of Innocence and Arboles Mentirosos (the latter from Mexico). MMK sticks out with a more EBM-leaning sound (would love to know who they are!). The closing track from Black Lodge, I suspect may be from local Manchester legend Dan Dwayre, who has been releasing music since 1999.
