The new Berlin label Dissontiya launched itself into our minds (and hearts) back during summer. At the time I was also physically in Berlin, and was lucky enough to meet one of the people behind the project. It’s great to labels working towards putting breakbeat front and center, and Dissontiya have focused on experimental and industrial sounds rather than the club format. That makes their second compilation just as refreshing as the first – with 14 new tracks from all over Europe. Co-founders Costa and Autocannibal brush shoulders with Midnight Climax, Umwelt and Lord Jalapeños just to name a few. Out since October 31 and available on cd.
