Diminishing Returns invites Exponential Returns

After a string of incredible guests on the Diminishing Returns show – much more than I could ever have hoped for – the November episode gives something a bit different. The curation for our show on Noods Radio has been very specific so far – focusing on dark and dystopian themes leading the listener from the 80s into current times (which are perhaps worse than ever). But this time you’ll get to hear a mix I made about half a year ago, for another station but it never got selected. The theme is the opposite: optimism and joy, which allowed me to incorporate other genres like trance and post-club. This is what I wrote back then:

Right now optimism takes up a lot of mindspace. I’ve always been an optimist but recent times haven’t provided much joy. That’s why we turn to music I guess, to fill a void that others leave. From Optimism Is Out to Get You to local club Optimism, the approaches to joy are as different as we humans are. That’s what this mix represents, from the abrasive to the honey-eyed.

Here is the link to the latest show on Noods. You can also listen via soundcloud. For the final episode of 2025 we will have a special guest, so check back soon.
