Selwa Abd has announced the release of a new album as Bergsonist – and this time it’s something quite different. She has explored her Amazigh roots in Marocco for an hour-long multimedia piece commissioned by and performed at Roulette in Brooklyn, together with Gnawa musician Moe Elgad. You watch the whole piece below. The title ASL أصل ⴰⵙⵍ means ‘origin’ and it’s been developed into an album with 14 tracks, for release through her own label in November.
