It’s been about two years since the last album from Berlin’s Ostseetraum came out. The solo project of Oskar Militzer (of Liiek and one of the founders of Mangel Records) is also joined by Lisa Hansemann on synth. I say Noj, another band Oskar plays in last weekend and I really enjoy all of his musical outings. But Ostseetraum has kind of turned into my favourite despite its obscurity. Der Sumpf came out on Adagio830 in September and features 10 tracks of forlorn synth-pop, revelling in 80s references. I also love the cover designed by Anne-Sophie Lohmann (Benzin, Aus etc.).
