Optic Sink is quite possibly one of the most underrated post-punk bands around. Perhaps they haven’t released music quite often enough but there’s not reason why they shouldn’t be as popular as Automatic or Sweeping Promises. Still working with Feel It, the Memphis trio will be revealing their third album on October 31. Lucky Number is a fantastic album that has everything you could wish for, from angular melodies, sharp percussion and deadpan female vocals. I’d say it’s right up there with the Self Improvement record from earlier this year. Don’t balk at the coverart, just buy it.
