Last year we wrote about Iranian artist Dania, when she released a record together with Ilyas Ahmed. She has recorded a new album for Somewhere Press, the Glasgow label who has a brilliant year in 2024. Dania appeared on their first compilation (one of my favourite tracks off of that) and is now back Listless. An LP recorded at night. “I see it when I work the night shift, this otherworld,” she says. And at the moment she has half of her life in Barcelona the other in remote Australia where she works nights as an emergency doctor. These 7 tracks are surprisingly ‘pop’ for the label, undulating between dreampop, triphop and ethereal ambient.
