Texan Cowgirl Clue just keeps putting out albums, after having been going for pretty much ten years now. I for one, am very pleased she’s able to keep up the level of creativity alive to create something as beautiful as Total Freedom – at a time when that concept feels further away than ever. The 14-track album – Ashley Calhoun’s third – came out last month via Vada Vada. The first track opens exactly like a Lighthouse Keepers track, but I’m sure that’s a coincidence because this is post-club pop with a millennial bent.
