Potochkine is a name that’s new to me, but the fact is the French duo have been around for almost a decade. Songwriter Pauline Alcaïdé and producer Hugo Sempé are based in Paris and their latest album has four years on its neck. That one was their first on Young and Cold, after many years of self-releasing. They’re back on the German label in October when they release their mini-album Sang d’Encre. With 7 tracks, it gathers up their two singles from last year along with new music that reminds me of Rue Oberkampf.
