After stumbling across architect, musician and sound artist Tuce Alba in Berlin – at show curated by Nick Klein, where she played the ney (Turkish reed flute) – I was beyond excited to see her close down the main stage at the PLX festival in Sweden earlier this August. Originally from Istanbul and currently Berlin-based, Alba released her latest album a slow death in February via Rhizomorph Records. The 5-track cd is highly textural for a noise record, with each track bringing a completely different feel.
