Susannah Stark from Glasgow made a big impression on me when I saw her perform at Intonal festival. Her 2020 album on Storm was a beautiful experimental record. A visual artist at heart – that LP took years to complete and it’s taken five more until the follow-up Minor Gestures. This one is a co-release between Stroom and Night School, set for release in October. Credited to Susannah Stark & Band, it includes several collaborators. Some of it is also sung in Gàidhlig, which adds to the mystique.
