DJ Speedsick from Chicago may be one of the best known producers in the global underground of electronic music these days (pictured above). But he started getting into electronics with his first releases for Texas noise label Breathing Problem way back in 2018. In July, he returned to the label for a split 12” with Scant. In fact, Scant released his second record ever on his label Dead Gods. Scant from New York delivers his signature sound on the a-side and Speedsick revisits his roots on the flip.
Another DJ Speedsick release I feel like I have to mention at long last is the tape that came out via Total Black almost a year ago. Deathamphetamine II has the sub title ‘back in the pit’ – probably as a reference to his perhaps most well-known album Snake Pit LSD.
