Alpha Maid is London-based musician and songwriter Leisha Thomas’ solo project since about 2019. Existing in a twilight zone between shoegaze, hyperpop and avantgarde she’s also in a duo called Spresso with Mica Levi (they put out the album Pretty Penny Slur last year). Shed is the latest EP from Alpha Maid, coming out on ATATA in April. Having also worked with people like Coby Sey and Ben Vince, it comes as no surprise that she’s performing at this year’s Le Guess Who?, and there’s also an upcoming date in Copenhagen.
