Los Angeles group Donna has been on my radar for a while now – made up of Catherine, Victor and Cody. Their obscure social media presence, reminiscent of World Music’s universe, intrigued me to begin with and the short live clips confirmed the suspicion of their greatness. July 25 their first single came out digitally. It’s called “Burn” and consists of a song in two parts that takes some of the paired-down approach of American Analog Set and adds Catherine’s beguiling vocals. Definitely one you want to put on repeat.
