Rockband is one of several projects by Danish producer Alpo who is part of a scene in Aarhus, far from the country’s capital. As Rockband, he appeared on the recent Ember compilation, but he’s also released a tape on his own label Dancemove. The name Rockband is an ironic name because these are the first tracks he has recorded with guitar – but still covering many different sounds. “Hvis Jeg Selv Kunne Vælge” from the compilation is included along with 12 other tracks, to make up 2023-2025 Mixtape.
He’s playing as Alpo at Kune festival this summer, because there’s an entire stage curated by the Aarhus-based Feum collective.
