Arbore is a duo made up of Diane Barbé (above) and Laure Boer (below), both from France and both based in Berlin. Barbé is also a part of the group Feu Fou together with Slowfoam and others. But Aboyer au mauvais arbre is their first Arbore collaboration as sound artists and composers, drawing on electroacoustic sounds and improvised structures. There are plenty of weird instruments popping up in these 9 tracks, like the non-trumpet in “Pas une trompette”. The cassette came out on Somewhere Press last week and is already sold out.
