I was just talking to friend about the Greek artist Σtella and suddenly realised she has a new album out. It’s called Adagio and is a continuation of her exploration of Greek pop history mixed with bossa, funk and soft rock. She began writing it in 2019 and during the pandemic worked with Rafael Cohen (of !!!) on a few tracks. He appears on the record as well, under the name Las Palabras. Σtella sings in Greece on two tracks for the first time, one of which is a cover of a Litsa Sakellariou song from 1996. The 9-track LP came out on Sub Pop in April.
