We actually included Yozy’s new track “Dedicated to the Girl Online” on our current edition of Apple Turnover. If you know me, you know I’ve always felt chronically like the girl online, especially after following bloatedandalone4evr1993 for a decade. However, we included it before finding out that it’s part of her new and monumental album Club F4me. Whether or not it’s a comment on Namilia’s fame collection, this record is the best thing I’ve heard since the Diet Rave Star EP and maybe the most punk dance record since 60 Second Wipe Out.
It follows a more introspective EP from the Uruguayan DJ and producer, and was self-released yesterday. There’s a release part this Sunday in Montevideo, if you’re in that part of the world.
