Our first monthly round-up of the year quite naturally ropes in some gems we overlooked during the past year. It’s January 2025, but these 20 tracks range from January 2024 all the way to December. Shallowater’s excellent (almost as great at MJ Lenderman’s LP) album There Is a Well came out in January last year. We’ve got a track from one of Sunthoid’s many excellent compilations, this one from May.
There’s also new music from Cunt Remember, Human Performance Lab, Schwefelgelb, Heartcoregirl, Mary Lake, Amelie Lens, Stina Francina, Voice Actor, Hemlock, Läuten der Seele and many other greats we didn’t have time to feature in 2024.
