Alexander Moralez who makes music as Morelez also runs the label Mosaique, which has now relocated again, to Germany. Originally from St. Petersburg, Moralez is also one half of The Bleak Engineers, along with Svetlana Nagaeve (commonly known as Zombierella). It’s been three years since their excellent second album, which was quite influential for me in moving towards the electronic spectrum. Now they’re back with a new album, that is sadly digital only. The Mystical Dream came out on Mosaique on November 20, with 8 tracks that once again marry the analogue and the digital in harmonious coldwave expressions. Reminiscent of Figure Study (and Figure Section too for that matter).
