Japanese trio Usurabi returned with a new album in October, following a self-released live cd earlier in 2024. Chita came out on their regular label An’archives from France. It’s a 7-track LP that once again draws on familiar references like Galaxie 500 and 60s psychedelic folk like Jefferson Airplane, but this time with a very raw live sound. It’s an interesting development from last year’s LP and Usurabi continue to keep us in thrall.
